Paraguay-France match could be postponed due to weather conditions, warns FIFA

The local climate is proving to be a major obstacle for players, with the National Weather Service predicting temperatures between 36°C and 38°C. However, with the humidity, temperatures are expected to feel as high as 41°C. To make matters worse, meteorologists are predicting a high probability of showers and thunderstorms after 17:00, which will exactly coincide with the start of the match.

Due to strict safety protocols in place in the US during storms, matches must be suspended or postponed whenever lightning is detected within a 13 km radius of the stadium. Players from both teams must return to their dressing rooms and spectators must find suitable shelter, and play cannot resume until at least 30 minutes have passed since the last recorded lightning strike.
