Due to strict safety protocols in place in the US during storms, matches must be suspended or postponed whenever lightning is detected within a 13 km radius of the stadium. Players from both teams must return to their dressing rooms and spectators must find suitable shelter, and play cannot resume until at least 30 minutes have passed since the last recorded lightning strike.
