According to information published in the Russian media, Rosatom sent a request to the Hungarian authorities to discuss the parameters of the new Hungarian nuclear power plant.

While construction is progressing, the Tisza government is making negative statements regarding the financing of the project, which also painfully affected the Russian side.
But Paks II. the importance of its construction is undeniable. According to the Atombiztos blog, the Tisza government has not yet made a decision on Paks 2. project, although it affects both the security of Hungary’s electricity supply and the price of electricity. The question is not whether Paks 2 is necessary. Nuclear power plant, but what will happen to Hungary if the government decides to abandon its construction. The stakes are high:
- power failure,
- significant increase in import dependence,
- during certain periods even restrictions on consumption, i.e. termination of supply guarantees,

Rosatom is ready for Paks-2. to clarify the parameters of the nuclear power plant project and, in this regard, sent a request for consultation to the Hungarian authorities, General Director of the state energy giant Alexey Likhachev told reporters at the Innoprom exhibition.
