One of the biggest films of the year is Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film. Odysseywhich brings Homer’s epic poem to life. It is difficult to overestimate the significance of the new film, since tickets for it were released a year ago and quickly sold out. While audiences are well aware of all the plot details of The Odyssey (Matt Damon) and his attempt to return home after the Trojan War, seeing Nolan’s signature cinematic flair understand that the epic encounters are more than enough reason to buy a ticket.

Gladiatorbut it still earned $497.4 million worldwide. Next month Troy will be honored with a brand new limited edition 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray from Arrow Video.

While this isn’t the film’s first Blu-ray release, it marks the film’s debut in 4K Ultra HD. In addition to the theatrical cut, what makes this release even more impressive is that both the theatrical and director’s cuts of the film received a new remaster. The director’s cut is 30 minutes longer than the theatrical version, resulting in a running time of 196 minutes, including deleted, extended and edited scenes. The timing of this new release couldn’t be better as audiences are coming out of Odyssey those wondering where the familiar scenes they were expecting were will immediately be able to view those scenes in Troy. Although it will be some time before Odyssey will receive a physical release, collectors will want to secure Troy to then save space next to it on the shelves for Odyssey.
