Rahul at number 6 during the third ODI against England at Lord’s. India were chasing 388 but lost the match by 27 runs, losing the three-match series 2–1.Sharing his views on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth questioned the decision to oust Rahul. “Someone send K.L. Rahul at number 6 when he is chasing such a huge amount? This guy has won so much for you in tough races,” Srikkanth said.“Is Rahul a No. 6 or No. 7 batter? This is a blatant injustice. His body language also looked like he was nervous,” he said.Rahul came to bat against India at 304/4 and needed almost 15 runs per over. The right-hander made 12 from eight balls before being removed by Jofra Archer.Srikkanth also compared Rahul’s situation to how Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Suryavanshi were dealt with earlier.“Just like you screwed up Sanju Samson and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, now you screwed up KL. Rahul. India needed someone to fill Jos Buttler’s role (the Englishman scored a 13-ball 41 in the first innings). This is where Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were immediately out of the game.
