Wildfires burning near Fairmont on the North Shore led to the closure of Highway 389 in both directions Tuesday morning.
The indefinite closure applies between Relais Gabriel and Mount Wright. This is due to the “zero visibility” associated with fires burning nearby.
The fire has already burned more than 6,300 hectares and is still classified by SOPFEU as “out of control”.
