MONTREAL – Montreal FC today announced the extension of the contract of defender Luca Petrasso for the 2027 Sprint, 2027/28 and 2028/29 seasons, with an option to extend through the 2029/30 season.

Petrasso, 26, officially joined Montreal on February 7, 2025 after participating in the club’s training camp as a tryout player. He then became one of three Montreal players to play all 34 matches in the 2025 MLS season.

In two seasons with Bleu Blanc Noir, Petrasso appeared in 46 MLS matches (including 43 as a starter), scoring two goals and providing six assists. He also played three League Cup matches and three TELUS Canadian Championship matches, during which he recorded an assist.

During his career, he played 82 MLS games (67 as a starter), recording two goals and 10 assists over five seasons playing for Montreal, Orlando City and Toronto.
