Results of the Moncelien Cycling Club – French FSGT Championships in Lorsge on Saturday 5 July and Sunday 5 July 2026.
In Songhe, home of the French FSGT Championships, more than 750 riders took part this weekend, including about a hundred young people from cycling schools. Nine Monseille residents braved the challenging 21km course in unbearable heat. They regained the title and second place. This is a very good result.
In cycling school: plateau, sprint and race.
For chicks: 9th place for Combe Bailly-Corneau. Com plays great skill games. Despite a small mistake, he took 3rd place. 10th place in the race and 11th place in the sprint is top 10 overall.
As the youngest: 12th place for Jarno Bailly-Corno. Jarno wins the skill games after a great performance. Good performance. A crash in the sprint and a 15th place finish in the race brought him back into the overall standings.
In the inter-committee cycling school competition, Saône-et-Loire finished 3rd on the podium, just 2 points away from victory.
In the minimum: Boys and girls started together. Women: Laurine Ducote – French champion. What a race for our little rocket!! Despite the pressure of being the favorite and the call for her title, she did not hesitate to take the lead with four boys. Our department and regional champion ran several relays before giving up on the main climb. She would come back in the final kilometers and finish in 5th position overall.
5th place went to Elona Laroche. At her first French Championships, Elona had a great time and narrowly missed out on finishing in 4th place. A very satisfactory result for our Moncelien on this very difficult route. Saone-et-Loire receives the minimum prize of the women’s committee.
In minimum G: 11th place went to Lukas Jasinski. In his first year and his first national championship, Lucas showed skill and narrowly missed out on a top ten finish. This is great satisfaction for him. Saone-et-Loire also won the committee prize for boys.
Other categories
Among juniors: Juline Ducote – vice-champion of France. This is a difficult year for our regional champion, but it ends happily. Even if she didn’t like the course, she knew how to handle the challenges of the course. This is a great reward for Julia.
In the superstar: 22nd place for Francis Valles. A difficult day for Francis, who fought like hell, but it wasn’t enough.
As a veteran: 30th place for Jeffrey Cascello. Jeffrey struggled to hold the pace at the start of the race. He has regained his momentum and is looking to crack the top 30. Note the large number of dropouts in this category.
In the senior: the departure of Thibault Rode. This is a day without Thibault. A day worth forgetting. He leaves this championship disappointed. But that takes nothing away from the champion that is the champion, and especially his great season. There are also more than twenty dropouts among older people.
