McDonald’s is bringing Caesar back to the menu with four limited-time additions starting July 21.
The line includes Bacon Caesar McCrispy, Caesar Snack Wrap and McCrispy Strips, all served with the chain’s new Caesar sauce. The sauce can also be ordered separately for dipping.
McDonald’s discontinued traditional salads, including the Chicken Caesar Salad, in 2020. While these salads are not returning, the familiar Caesar flavor is returning in a new form.
McDonald’s new Caesar dressing combines the flavors of Parmesan, lemon and garlic. It can be ordered separately or in combination with several dishes on the chicken menu.
The McCrispy Bacon Caesar includes McCrispy filet with Caesar dressing, applewood smoked bacon, shredded lettuce, Roma tomatoes, crispy onions and crinkle-cut pickles on a toasted potato roll.
The Caesar Snack Wrap features a McCrispy strip with cheese, shredded lettuce and Caesar dressing wrapped in a tortilla.
McDonald’s also recommends pairing its newly revamped McCrispy Strips, now with a crispier coating, with its new Caesar dressing.
The new items will be available at participating restaurants for a limited time.
McDonald’s isn’t the only fast food chain revamping its chicken menu. Burger King is currently testing six grilled chicken menu items at select restaurants, including three sandwiches and three wraps.
The test lineup includes Classic, Spicy and Bacon & Swiss chicken sandwiches, as well as Classic, Spicy and Honey Mustard wraps.
What else has McDonald’s launched lately?
The Caesar lineup is the latest in a series of limited-time launches from McDonald’s.
Recent promotions have included a World Cup campaign featuring collectible cups and toys, and the return of fried apple pie nationwide after decades of absence from most U.S. menus.
Earlier this year, the chain introduced two meals a day inspired by the Netflix animated hit. K-Pop Demon Huntersas well as a themed McFlurry and photo cards.
