Matt Damon reveals the key to his 21-year marriage to Luciana Damon while chatting with PEOPLE ahead of the film’s release. Odyssey

Matt Damon spoke about his affair with his wife Luciana Damon.
While chatting with PEOPLE ahead of the release. OdysseyThe 55-year-old movie star revealed the secret of the couple’s 21-year marriage.
“God, I’ve always been reluctant to give any advice because I feel like everyone’s different and everyone’s relationships are different,” he says.

But when it comes to his own marriage, he adds: “At the core of this relationship is a lot of love and respect, and a lot of trust. They are built on a very strong foundation. We continue to grow and develop as people, and so I think that foundation is really everything.”
Matt adds: “This is the greatest event of my life, but everyone is different.”
The Hollywood power couple met in April 2003 and married two years later. They had three daughters: Isabella, Gia and Stella.
Matt is also the father of Luciana’s daughter, Alexia, whom she shares with her ex Arbello Barroso.

Although they are husband and wife, the couple also works together professionally.
Luciana recently worked with Matt to produce his 2024 film. Instigators and his 2026 crime thriller Gap. She is currently producing the upcoming film of his longtime friend Ben Affleck. Animals.
It is noteworthy that Luciana is a partner in Matt and Affleck’s production company Artist’s Equity.

“She’s been a part of this for me since I’ve known her. She reads everything I do. She watches clips from films. I really relied on her writing for 23 years,” Matt tells PEOPLE.
“While I was doing OdysseyShe produced the film that Ben directed, and so they have their own working and creative, professional relationship. We have one film in the company, but they made this film while I was away, which is good to see,” he says.
Luciana and all four of their daughters came out to support Matt at the film’s London premiere. Odyssey July 6.
Damon plays Odysseus in Christopher Nolan’s new film, based on Homer’s ancient Greek poem of the same name. The film will be released in theaters on Thursday, July 16th.
