Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, joined MasterChef Australia Kitchen as a guest judge on Sunday, July 26th at 7:00 pm at 10:00 am, bringing her love of food, entertaining and seasonal produce to one of the competition’s most memorable competitions.
An entrepreneur, humanitarian, and passionate home cook, Megan challenges our chefs to create dishes that celebrate seasonal ingredients and the personal stories behind them.
Meghan’s love of food has been reflected in her latest projects, including the world-famous Netflix series. Love, Megan and the launch of her best-selling lifestyle brand, As alwaysinspired by cooking, entertaining and thoughtful gifts.
Meghan said: “What attracted me to MasterChef Australia kitchen? Two things: my love for food and my love for Australia. It was a simple yes.
“This is such a great show. I’m honored to be asked to be here with you and judge some of these dishes.”
I brought a selection of my favorite seasonal ingredients to the restaurant. MasterChef Australia In the kitchen, Meghan challenges the chefs to create a dish fit for the Duchess, with the hero being one of the following: carrots, Jerusalem artichokes, Brussels sprouts, celery, local Australian honey, macadamia nuts, quinces, lemons, apples, tangerines and strawberries. Through the chosen ingredient, chefs are invited to celebrate the season and share something personal about themselves.
“It all makes me really nostalgic,” Megan. explains.
“I would love it if you could find a connection when you cook something, what is the story behind it?… Something from your family or a memory… something sentimental that we can also taste when we taste your dish.”
Megan will join MasterChef Australia cuisine from judges Poh Ling Yeoh, Sophia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli.
Season 18 featured a host of high-profile guests, from celebrity chefs like Rick Stein, Curtis Stone and Maggie Beer to iconic foodies including Jimmy and Jane Barnes and Robert Irwin.
This season, 24 of the best amateur chefs competed for a spot in the kitchen, honing their skills and overcoming competitive pressures to create mouth-watering dishes.
Now that there are only a few chefs left, every test matters, like a race for MasterChef Australia The 2026 title enters its final stage.
