Farah Khan responds to criticism for her silence after Shilpa Shinde’s remarks about Shivangi Joshi Cover 2. The director-choreographer was reacting to a social media post that questioned why Shilpa and Shreya Kalra were not taken to task for their crude comments on Shivangi Joshi’s virginity in the Netflix reality show.
The social media post read, “Ekta, Farah, Riteish and Netflix, your 84 cameras are no longer working and you guys can’t see the disgusting crap comments conveyed by Shreya and Shilpa Shivangi!? They constantly go below the belt talking about women’s character on an international platform, and you don’t even call them out on it!?”

The user claimed that the creators and hosts were biased and also questioned the difference in treatment, adding that if Akansha Chaudhary’s mistake “made such a difference”, then Shilpa and Shreya should receive similar treatment for their comments.
After the post caught the attention of the internet, Farah decided to take up the issue. In the comments section, she wrote: “Please watch Judgment Day and then write angry letters.” This suggests the issue will be addressed during the show’s Judgment Day this Saturday, where contestants are typically judged for their actions and disagreements.
The controversy started after Shilpa Shinde made a personal remark about Shivangi in a conversation with Shreya Kalra. She nurtured Shivangi’s virginity in a manner that did not go down well with many viewers who found it inappropriate.
In another clip, Shilpa can be seen commenting on Shivangi’s character, claiming that she has had many affairs and dated all the co-stars she has worked with on television.
Shilpa’s comments on Shivangi quickly went viral as the episodes did not show the hosts calling her out for her comments. Viewers began to criticize the presenters for bias and lack of action against such comments. Following Farah Khan’s comments on the matter, Judgment Day is expected to be full of revelations, drama and surprise announcements. Locked Up Season 2 airs new episodes every Saturday through Thursday at 8:00 pm EST only on Netflix.
