On the field, classes are long and there is a lot going on. It’s still warm. Tell us a little about them so far and what Andoni is asking of you all?
These are really good sessions, positive sessions. We’re all just trying to adapt to the new coach and how he wants to play. We are all looking forward to getting to know him better.
You had a couple of loan spells and some good moments at Hull last season. How much did you take from last year?
I took a lot. It was a really difficult experience at first, but it ended up being a really good experience. I learned a lot from Hull and obviously we got promotion which is a huge achievement. So yeah, it was a great season in the end.
How did you enjoy that day at Wembley and being part of such a special moment for Hull?
It was incredible. When Oli (McBurnie) put the finishing touches on it was an incredible moment for the club and now they’re in the Premier League.
With a new head coach here, how does that change your thinking? Obviously you always want to impress, but when it’s a clean slate for everyone, is that an added benefit that you think might get him and the coaches’ attention?
Yes, definitely. I think I’m a player that the manager might like, given the way I press and the energy I can give to the team. I’m always looking to impress, so I just see where it takes me.

What would you like to achieve this season? What are your goals and hopes?
Of course, playing for Liverpool in the Premier League. But if things end up going wrong, I’m always looking to improve and I’m always looking to improve my game. Let’s see what happens and see where it takes me.
