It looks like GTA 6 has the upper hand over Red Dead Redemption 2 when it comes to weapons.
Since pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 began on June 25, 2026, the game has become a recurring topic in online media. Particular attention was initially paid to the Ultimate Edition, which costs 20 euros more and includes many additional materials.
Some of them give plenty of hints about what to expect from the finished game, including mechanics you may already know from Red Dead Redemption 2.

In theory, GTA 5 Online also has a weapon locker where you can store weapon kits. But it was only added three years after release, when the number of available weapons had already been increased. Without a gun safe, the gun wheel would be too overloaded. Rockstar is apparently now planning ahead and adding the feature directly this time.
