ABOUTJuly 23, 2026 (Thursday), Yana Supervisorstarring Tamil Nadu CM and star actor Vijay, it hit screens across the world. Fans across Tamil Nadu gathered in large numbers to celebrate the film directed by H Vinoth. Theaters across the state witnessed festive scenes including drumming, dairy abhishekam on Vijay’s cut-outs and posters and on firework displays. The First Day Celebration (FDFS) reflected the huge anticipation surrounding the film, which is billed as Vijay’s last outing on the silver screen.
Yana Supervisor arrives two months after Vijay assumed office as chief minister of Tamil Nadu, marking his transition from films to full-time politics. The film faced censorship hurdles before its release. Despite the controversy, fans flocked to theaters to celebrate their favorite star. Here are some photos from the celebration:
