Rising Hollywood star Hudson Williams looked visibly upset when he was confronted by alleged autograph hunters in Paris over the weekend.
Heated rivalry The actor was so enraged by a group that was allegedly selling autographs that he tried to set fire to a photo they wanted him to sign.
The 25-year-old Canadian, who is currently in the French fashion capital to attend Paris Fashion Week, was unhappy when he got out of his chauffeured car on July 11 and was confronted by men who were holding photographs of him.
“Can you please sign, Hudson?” – one of the men asked, taking it off.
This was a firm “no” from the star.
“You guys followed me to my house,” he told them.
When the men tried to apologize while continuing to film and surround the actor, Williams became even more angry.
“No ‘sorry’. You can’t do that,” he replied, snatching the headshot from one of them. “It’s really fucking weird.”
In the video, Williams then grabbed a black marker the men had brought for autographs and aggressively threw it onto the cobblestone street.
“You can’t do that,” he added. “You guys are not fans. You’re being really creepy and just following me, okay? You don’t do that.”
The heated argument escalated when Williams tried to ignite the head shot with a lighter. When his lighter didn’t work, the actor could be seen leaving.
“I’ll burn it at home,” he promised as the men continued to apologize. “Thank you. Now please go away. You’re crazy. No apologies. Go away. I want to watch you jump on your little bike.”
Williams again tried to burn off the head shot with a lighter, but when he succeeded a second time, one of his escorts ordered him to leave the scene.
He does so, but not before tearing up the photograph and throwing it out onto the street.
A security guard then prevented him from returning to interact with the alleged autograph dealers while another security guard told the person filming the video: “Delete this. This is not good.”
Just last month, Williams also made headlines when a problematic photo of him from high school resurfaced online.
In a photo circulated on X, the actor posed with a group of friends wearing a blue shirt with designs on it.
His face was also covered in black marker drawings, including a swastika drawn on his forehead.
Sources told TMZ last month that the photo was taken while Williams was taking part in an annual “camp” tradition in which underage teens would often drink and draw on each other’s shirts and bodies for laughs and shocking reactions.
The publication reported that Williams had “no idea” what was drawn on his face when the photo was taken, but understands that it is “completely inexcusable.”
The star “deeply regrets” the photo and “understands the pain and disappointment” it caused, a source told TMZ, noting that he doesn’t actually approve or support the drawings.
“The mark does not and has never reflected Hudson’s beliefs, values or character,” one of his friends told TMZ.
Williams rocketed to fame last year when he starred in the hit HBO Max series. Heated rivalry.
In the hit series, he plays NHL superstar Shane Hollander, who has a secret, passionate affair with his on-ice rival Ilya Rozanov (played by Connor Storry).
The second season is currently in production and is scheduled to premiere in April next year in the US and Australia.
