At the time of the crime, three unknown suspects – two women and a man – entered the Media Markt branch at Mittelstrasse 20 in Hagen and went straight to the store’s cash register.
On the way, the male suspect grabbed a water bottle from the display window and walked up to the cash register. There he spoke to the cashier. During the conversation, several €50 banknotes were taken from the cash register and exchanged with the suspect.
The woman also took out 100 euro notes from her wallet and showed them to the cashier. The male suspect then placed the bills in his wallet and locked it.
After that, all three suspects, who remained unknown, left the store.
