A leak about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is causing the tech world to become alarmed and take notice as it points to a remarkable technical masterpiece.
Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 will have a huge battery
The main focus is on the obvious contradiction: while the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2’s battery is expected to grow an impressive 35 percent to 800 mAh, the case will also become 12 percent thinner. This combination of significantly greater durability and slimmer design addresses one of the major shortcomings of Samsung’s previous model.

Information taken from marketing materials published by renowned leader Evan Blass in his email newsletter. They show the watch in the usual square and rounded titanium case, which has noticeably lost thickness and should therefore be more comfortable to wear. Three buttons remain on the side, including a programmable “shortcut button” in the middle.
More than just thinner and more durable
But according to the leak, the improvements don’t stop there. Another highlight is the display, which should see its peak brightness increase from 3,000 nits to an extreme 5,000 nits. This guarantees perfect readability even in direct sunlight. Resistance has also apparently been increased as the watch will receive IP69K certification. This standard promises protection against water at high pressure and high temperatures and is still rare for smartwatches.
According to the leak, the new top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear Elite processor provides the required performance. With this overall package, Samsung is once again positioning the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 as a direct competitor to the Apple Watch Ultra. The combination of more power, a stunning display and, above all, the ability to fit a larger battery into a thinner body could further strengthen Samsung’s position in the premium segment.
