Firefighters were unable to resuscitate the driver of an emergency vehicle on Monday 13 July in Dorlisheim. The car crashed into a tree on the departmental road RD 392, at the entrance to the city.
The tragic accident occurred this Monday, July 13, in the town of Dorlisheim, located approximately thirty kilometers west of Strasbourg, in the Bas-Rhin.
On the departmental road D392, the car flew off the road and crashed into a tree. The driver, a 48-year-old man, was treated as soon as firefighters arrived on the scene. He was in a state of absolute emergency.
Despite rescuers’ attempts to resuscitate him, he died. According to a press release from the Bas-Rhin Fire and Rescue Service, there was another passenger in the car. This person was not injured. The accident required the involvement of about fifteen firefighters.
