Oscar Piastri attacked Carlos Sainz and his own McLaren team after a disappointing race that saw him miss the finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
Piastri started third on the grid and took the lead on the first lap, passing teammate Lando Norris.

On lap 33, Piastri was told to use his pace because Lewis Hamilton was pitting, but he protested that he did not have the speed on the tyres.
Then Norris wanted to get ahead and turned on the team radio.
“You mean you won’t let me? I’m miles faster! I’ll put in a 10-second gap without tires,” he said.
McLaren then dropped Piastri before drama ensued on lap 39 when Sainz made contact as the Australian tried to pass him.
“Get out of the way, you idiot! My God,” Piastri seethed over the command radio.
Norris pitted on lap 40, which worked perfectly and allowed him to get ahead of his teammate.
Piastri was clearly unhappy at being taken out first from the team and put back into the race in traffic.
On the team radio, the engineer told him: “Oscar, it was Sainz who cost us this goal. The goal is to reach the end on this tire.”
Piastri responded in disappointment, “Oh buddy, you better not talk to me right now. It’s really nice of you guys to consider that, thanks by the way.”
Sainz was penalized five seconds for his involvement in contact before Norris regained the lead on lap 46.
Then, 10 laps later, Piastri stopped and the virtual safety car was deployed after he lost his gearbox. The Australian was subsequently withdrawn from the race.
Norris finished victorious, his first of the season.

Max Verstappen was second and was stunned to achieve this after a worrying weekend.
“How the hell did we get second place today? It’s incredible. Great result. Wow,” he said.
Kimi Antonelli finished third.
