One of the most recognized celebrities in pop culture to this day is Eva Longoria, actress, model and director. Now, having played numerous roles in the entertainment industry, she is back in the spotlight, promoting her ongoing work in film, television and charity.

The show revolves around health, wellness, leadership and more, as the L’Oréal commercial icon talks about her career, what motivates her and how she takes care of herself. At one point, she mentioned that she often gets approached by people who want her to reveal their “beauty secrets.”
“Go to sleep,” she says in a viral clip of her interview. “Go to bed. Close your eyes. Go to bed. It’s amazing how many people are awake right now. Almost every woman I talk to is like… “I can live for five hours.” This is wrong. You think that… You think you can function on five, (but) you shouldn’t function on five.”

Social networks react to Eva’s comments about sleeping for beauty
There’s no doubt that adequate sleep is an important part of people’s daily health, creating health benefits that grow from the inside out, strengthening the immune system, regulating emotions and more.
However, when the 51-year-old explained that sleeping more than five hours a night was her top beauty secret, reactions on social media were divided. Podcast host Robin Arzon, as well as several social media users on Instagram, agreed, but there were many commenters who expressed doubt. Over the past decade, Eva has been the subject of plastic surgery and Botox rumors, which has raised some doubts among fans and others.
“This is great advice, but the Botox on her face screams that sleep is not her only beauty tool,” an Instagram user commented.
“Stop,” wrote another. “Botox, fillers, laser, microneedling, surgery… and then add sleep!”
“I agree about sleep, but why in 2026 are we still asking women who are clearly getting some sort of injection what their beauty secret is?” – began the passionate user. “I don’t have a problem with women doing this and I’m not shaming them in any way, but come on! Can we be realistic? It perpetuates these crazy standards for women. Just be honest.”
“The secret of beauty is money!” joked another.
“It gives gaslighting energy,” the user added.
“Imagine saying that with a face filled with Botox and fillers. Madness”.
