Frankfurt – He was Eintracht manager for only 14 games, but the headlines left the impression that he had been there for many years. Albert Riera (44) failed in Frankfurt last season. After a lack of places in the national team and countless turmoil caused by the Spaniard, the club parted ways with Riera at the end of the season. It seems he hasn’t gotten over it yet.

Riera was even less able to cope with the statements of Eintracht coach Axel Hellmann (54). A board spokesman said of Riera’s time in Frankfurt in an interview with FAZ earlier this week: “I was surprised at how little he was prepared to deal with the Bundesliga, this club and the whole environment.”

Hellmann continued: “Eintracht Frankfurt is a big, emotional, powerful club with a strong media environment that has had great success in recent years. We had the idea that it would overcome all these problems. We were wrong.”

Even worse: the coach’s peculiar communication style cost Eintracht a significant part of its reputation. Hellmann: “We must increase confidence in the national and international player market that Eintracht Frankfurt is the right club with stable conditions in the coaching position.”

Fierce Riera wrap all around

“Don Alberto” does not like all these statements at all. Now he goes all-out and attacks Hellman in the worst way possible. On Thursday evening, he posted a photo of him and sports boss Markus Krösche (45) on his Instagram story and wrote: “These are the only two people who were in the club from morning to evening and fought to bring the chaos – internal and external – under control: Markus Krösche and me!!! No one else!”

After this, Riera, seeing red like a Spanish bull, pestered: “I will not mention your name (a man I have only seen twice) because you are a nobody, completely unknown and have achieved nothing. You probably still don’t even know why you even receive a salary from the club. You decided to talk about me – and I will do the same!” It’s clear that Riera is referring to Boss Hellman.

“Cowards speak only later!”

The former Frankfurt coach concluded: “Eintracht was like a ghost town during my time there. Neither the president, nor the directors, nor anyone else was present. They probably only appear in good times. Cowards speak only later and behind other people’s backs. By the way, I wish Eintracht would find the right people – people who understand something about this game and will help the club write a successful football history.” This cheap night pedal should Frankfurt– The boss is of little interest. Hellmann doesn’t make such primitive games.

Interesting: About 20 minutes after posting his late-night kick, Riera posted a celebratory Instagram post with happy family photos taken in the sun. He wrote: “Family, friends… morning runs, golf…, sunsets and relaxation! Everything in that order!” Well then…
