Ranjit Sau, Newtown: Contractual workers of the Panchayat office greeted Panchayat Minister Dilip Ghosh demanding monthly salary. Ecopark “New City” is visited by contract workers of Panchayat offices from different districts.
Contractual workers of various panchayats in the state met Panchayat Minister Dilip Ghosh at the New Town Eco Park on Wednesday morning. They claim that they are not paid their monthly salaries. But I did all the data entry work including panchayat data entry, old age benefits, widow benefits. But there is no minimum shade given. As usual, I got the job after passing the exam and training at the Panchayat. Dilip Ghosh said, “There are around 57,000 people working in the panchayat. Who is hired for various projects? They were introduced by the leaders. who has no future. They were politically introduced at different times. The project is completed, and now they are leaving. There is no one to see them. we try to Think about them. Permanent solution. Many people walk around with an uncertain future. There was such disorganization in the Panchayat office. I called them to the office with the papers.
Following the change of government in the state, several Trinamool-ruled panchayats complained of stagnation. Somewhere the head of a panchayat does not come to the office, somewhere the head and deputy head have resigned. Due to this, overall services ranging from the operation of government projects to the issuance of various certificates are disrupted. In this situation, panchayat minister and BJP MP Dilip Ghosh issued a stern warning to panchayat heads. The panchayat minister said that around 2,000 panchayat heads in the state are sitting idle or not reporting for duty. As a result, problems are created in the implementation of government works and projects. He complained that ordinary people were not getting the services they needed. Dilip Ghosh said: “About 2,000 chiefs are inactive, have fled or are not coming to power. As a result, difficulties arise in government work and projects. Such common people do not receive the various certificates they receive. Payments stop. If necessary, I will send the police to take them home. Otherwise, I will surround the house with ordinary people, they will throw bricks instead of eggs. Please come back.” Either serve in the panchayat or resign is the clear message from Dilip Ghosh.
