Almost 20 tons of cheese from the Bayreuth cheese factory, owned by the Bayernland cooperative, disappeared while being transported to France. It is currently unclear where Emmenthaler has gone.
Bayreuth cheese disappeared on the way to France
A shipping company from the Kempten area ordered a shipping company through an online portal to deliver cheese from Bayreuth to France, police said. The Bulgarian company then sent the truck to the loading point – a cheese factory in Bayreuth. The truck was loaded with 20 tons of cheese and set off overseas on July 6th.
Damage 80,000 euros
However, the truck has not yet arrived at the unloading site in France. The damage from the theft is approximately 80,000 euros. The police are now trying to figure out where the cheese went.
