On Wednesday evening, more than 40 firefighters had to rescue two young people in dire straits. They were stuck on a power pole near Stutensee-Büchig.

Residents call emergency services: people climb the power line tower
Around 10 p.m., residents reported several people on a 40-metre power transmission tower near the railway line between Mannheim and Karlsruhe in Stutensee. It is still unclear why the two men, aged 30 and 21, climbed onto the power transmission tower. The police began an investigation.

The fire brigade of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and high-altitude rescuers from the professional fire brigade of Karlsruhe were also involved in the rescue of the two. The two men were brought to the ground in a rescue basket.
