Jose Escolar’s bulls are ready
In the paddocks await the bulls of José Escolar, a traditional and highly respected Sanfermin ranch that will sign its eleventh consecutive entry since its debut in 2015.
The currency also arrived at a particularly good time. The Casa de Misericordia will present him with the award for the best bullfight at the 2025 Bull Fair, a recognition that the rancher himself receives “with pride” and which he believes demonstrates the good relationship he has maintained with Pamplona since its premiere.
José Escolar represents one of two Spanish studs that preserve the pure origins of Victorino Martin Andrés in the Albacerrada caste. The bulls graze at the Monte Valdetietar farm in Lanzaita (Avila), where they stay for four to five years before moving on to places like Pamplona or Las Ventas.
