“We love a supportive Canadian partner,” said one, while another said: “I love seeing Trudaddy jumping around and looking lovingly at Katie.”

Trudeau served as Canada’s 23rd prime minister from 2015 until his resignation in March 2025 due to declining approval ratings. That summer, he sparked romance rumors with Perry after they were seen together at a private dinner in Montreal, a month after her split from longtime fiancé Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares five-year-old daughter Daisy.
A few months later, Trudeau and Perry were photographed holding hands as they left a cabaret show to celebrate the pop star’s 41st birthday.
In April, Trudeau’s eldest son, 18-year-old singer Xavier, gave Perry his stamp of approval, saying in an episode of the show Cannot be censored podcast: “She’s very sweet. She’s very down to earth. She’s wonderful. I think my dad is happy, and that’s important.”
Xavier said his own relationship with Perry had reached the point where he turned to her for career advice. “When I’m really happy with a song, (I) send it to (her),” he said. “She’s always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change.”
Trudeau has three children – Xavier, Ella-Grace, 17, and Adrien, 12 – with his ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. They officially separated in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
