CHANDLER, Arizona. – A Chandler doctor was arrested at his Gilbert home after police said he inappropriately touched two patients during exams at his Chandler clinic.
What we know:
Chandler police say Hasan Khan, 48, a physician at American Medical Associates, was arrested July 8 on multiple charges of sexually abusing patients. Khan is charged with a felony, one count of sexual assault and one count of criminal sexual assault after he sexually harassed two women in his office.

One of the victims claims it was consensual after Khan proposed to her, while another said it was not. According to court documents, police noted striking similarities in both stories.
Chronology:
The first was a patient treated for back pain in February 2025. She told police that Khan pulled down her pants, touched her inappropriately and pressed his erect, clothed penis against her hand. When she asked him, he apologized. He later wrote to her, claiming that his wife was a lesbian and approved of his relationship with the outside world.
The second patient reported on Khan after an appointment in January 2025 for swollen lymph nodes. She says Khan asked, “Do you mind?” before loosening his pants and performing oral sex on her. The encounter led to a consensual relationship outside of work, prompting her to call the police after she claimed she had contracted several STIs from him.

What they say:
Khan’s lawyer told the judge the relationship was consensual.
“It involves a relationship, a consensual relationship. We’re not talking about sexually assaulting a stranger or, you know, anything like that. Is this unethical? Yes. Is this illegal? No,” said Khan’s lawyer.

Dig Deeper:
Police noted striking similarities between the two accounts, including Khan asking them both, “Do you mind,” using the same unregistered contact phone number, and raising the issue of his wife’s sexual orientation. Khan told police he was already in contact with the Arizona Medical Board about the allegations.
Khan failed to post $75,000 cash bail, but a judge ordered him to surrender his passport due to concerns he was a flight risk.
What’s next:
His next court date is July 15. FOX 10 has reached out to American Medical Associates, where he practices, for comment and will provide an update if a response is received.
