Samsung’s new foldable phones will go on sale on July 22.
Samsung is preparing for this important day. Fans and the press were warned on social networks; they just have to wait until July 22. The brand’s calendar has changed relatively little compared to last year, with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 unveiled on July 10.
However, this year everything is different: the threat of a new challenger looms. You know: Apple is set to release its very first foldable smartphone this year, the iPhone Fold or Ultra. The first project in an already highly competitive market, which is already forcing Samsung to rethink its range.

New folding format?
It’s no secret: this year Samsung should replenish its catalog of foldable smartphones with a new “wide” model, a direct competitor to the foldable iPhone. The smartphone is wider than elongated; therefore, it will encourage wider use. We still don’t know much about its features, even if its design has been leaked on the Internet many times already – we’ll leave it to you to do the research.
On the issue of nomenclature, ordinary informants do not all agree. For some, this new passport size will simply be called the Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the successor to the Fold 7 will be called the Fold 8 Ultra. Flip 8 shouldn’t bring any special revolutions.
However, you need to be prepared for this: this year Samsung will probably significantly increase prices for the entire line. According to some rumors, which should be taken as they are, we can imagine an increase of between 100 and 300 euros depending on the model, which is a direct consequence of rising prices for RAM and storage.
