While terms of the deal were not announced, Sportsnet’s Blake Murphy reported that it is an Exhibit 10 contract for Bittle. This is an NBA one-year minimum salary deal that is not fully guaranteed and is often used in the offseason and in training camps to evaluate rosters, but still gives teams the option to retain a player’s G League rights if they are waived.
Bittle, 23, spent all five seasons in the NCAA with his hometown Oregon Ducks. He averaged 16.8 points, 6.9 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.8 blocks in 25 games with the Ducks last year.
The seven-foot, 250-pound center also made 4.5 threes per game, making 31.9 percent.
Bittle, a former Big Ten player and finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award, is part of the Las Vegas Summer League Raptors team that enters action on Friday.
