As for what his sleep schedule looked like during filming Odyssey? Damon admitted that while he’s been a “light sleeper” since welcoming four daughters—Alexia, 27, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15—with his wife Luciana, his sleep schedule became even more irregular while he was working on the film.

“In this film, me and (the production assistants) had a joke called “Odyssey Five,” he explained. “If you could get five hours, you’d be delighted.”

“There wasn’t much sleep, but it was enough,” he added. “I realized that five was the limit because there were like four nights, and sometimes there were no nights at all… I had two nights where I didn’t sleep because I came home and was really tired. And then I just did this thing where I’m just sitting there and I didn’t hit the window, and now I’m panicking.”

Despite the discipline and sacrifice the film required from the entire cast and crew, Damon said the experience was nonetheless “wonderful.”

“It was hard,” he emphasized. “But it was hard for everyone. That’s what made it great.”
