British musician Lauren Bennett, who sang on the 2011 hit LMFAO. Party Rock Anthemdied at the age of 36.

The band she was in, GRL, announced the news on Instagram on Monday.
“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren. Our hearts are broken and we cannot express how much she meant to us,” the statement said.
“We will always cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives and she will be greatly missed and always loved,” the post continued.

In its statement, the group did not indicate Bennett’s cause of death.

Party Rock Anthem it is one of the most successful dance-pop tracks of all time; it peaked at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks in 2011 and spent 29 weeks in the top 10.
She also co-starred with LMFAO in a music video that has received over 2.5 billion views on YouTube. Bennett sang on film soundtracks Date Night And 21 Jump Street and was part of another group, Paradiso Girls, created by Robin Antin, founder of the Pussycat Dolls, from 2007 to 2010.
The group disbanded in 2010 after releasing a single. Patron Tequila featuring Lil Jon and Eve, which reached number three on the US dance club chart in 2009, The Guardian reports.

Bennett joined GRL in 2014 along with singers Paula Van Oppen, Natasha Slayton, Simone Battle and Emmaline Estrada. After releasing several songs, most notably Ugly heart and participation in the Pitbull song Wild wild love That same year, they went their separate ways in 2015 when Battle committed suicide.
Bennett’s former Paradiso Girls bandmate paid tribute to her on Instagram, writing: “RIP Lauren, my sister, my best friend, I can’t believe you left us. We spoke a week before this all happened and I couldn’t imagine that this would be the last time I’d get to talk to you. Love you and miss you forever.”

Before achieving mainstream success with LMFAO, Bennett, who was born in Meopham, Kent, UK, sang in local talent competitions and appeared on X factor as a teenager, reached the final 12.
