Le Belvédère, Le Pub and La Promenade: The Festival du Québec (FEQ) is changing with some new features. At the dawn of his 58th birthdaye edition, here’s an overview of these additions and everything festival-goers need to know to enjoy their FEQ experience.
Three new premises
Exactly with the ideastretch out the pleasure
that this year’s Summer Festival will introduce three new gathering places in the Parliament Hill sector.
Walk : A series of kiosks set up along the Grand Allee, at the southern end of the National Assembly, offer exclusive experiences, seating areas, as well as gastronomic offerings. Available from 16:00. on weekdays and from noon on weekends.

Pub : The open-air gathering place, Pub du Parc de la Francophonie, is open to everyone without a pass from 14:30. Festival-goers are encouraged to come and watch the World Cup matches while enjoying some food and drinks. At the beginning of the evening, this space becomes exclusive to pass holders and offers live broadcasts of shows from Place George V (Loto-Québec and SiriusXM stages).

New Summer Festival pub

Gazebo : The most intriguing new feature remains Belvedere. This elevated structure, erected in the common entrance area of the Plains of Abraham, will provide an elevated view of the bell stage. A bar and a shop are integrated into it. The Belvedere can be entered at no additional cost with a general admission ticket and is first come, first served.

Plan your trips
With numerous preparatory sites for streetcar construction in Quebec, the trip to Parliament Hill promises to be more challenging. Therefore, it is wise to plan your comings and goings carefully. Here are some tips to make traveling easier F.E.Q..
- Sign up for traffic alerts in Quebec.
- Give preference to public transport (FestiBUS, buses to the city center, free incentive parking).

- Choose active transport (walking, cycling, bike rental): free bicycle parking is available at the corner of Avenue Honore-Mercier and Rue Saint-Louis, as well as on Avenue George VI, near Concorde. A temporary bicycle station has been set up on the Plains of Abraham, opposite Joan of Arc’s garden. There are places for storing helmets.
- If car use is unavoidable, encourage carpooling.

A good way to speed up logging into websites F.E.Q. means traveling light. For example, in the Plains of Abraham, the crowd is divided into three separate lines, namely: people who are empty-handed (fast lane), people with limited mobility or those who have strollers and need to be searched, or those who have backpacks and who also need to be searched.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended that you leave bags and strollers in the locker room and follow the list of permitted and prohibited items.
Please note that several water points are available to festival-goers at all sites. It is recommended to have a water bottle with you for refueling. For safety reasons, the use of glass containers is prohibited.

- Light snacks (sandwich, fruit, granola bar)
- Sunscreen size is maximum 250 ml.
- Guide dog or guide dog with proof
- Over-the-counter medications in small quantities (eg, Tylenol, Advil)
- Requires prescription drug with identified container
- An empty plastic bottle (hard or not) or stainless steel or an empty water bottle bag (1 liter or less).
- Umbrella stroller maximum format 40cm L x 81cm D x 94cm H (16 x 32 x 37 inches) at Plains of Abraham or George V Square
- Any type of stroller (allowed in Place de l’Assemble-Nationale and Place D’Youville)
- Pillow with back without frame or with plastic frame
Prohibited items
- Skateboarding and roller skating
- Legal or illegal recreational drugs and other related paraphernalia.
- Motorcycle or bicycle helmet (bike helmet accepted in the locker rooms free of charge)
- A portable or folding chair and cushion on a rigid frame.
- Cooler
- Umbrella
- Tent
- Animals
- A stroller without an umbrella on the Plains of Abraham or George V Square.

- Selfie stick
- Professional video and photographic equipment (interchangeable lenses)

Website opening hours
Plains of Abraham
Available from 18:00. through the entrances located on the Croix du Sacrifice (via Grand Allee) and Cap Blanc (Ontario Avenue).
Wardrobe services are offered for $5; Helmet storage is free.
Francophonie Park
Available from 14:30.
It is through this sector that pass holders gain access to the pedestrian bridge leading to George V Square.
George V Square
Access to the site is allowed from 17:00. via the Parc Francophonie (Rue Jacques-Parisot).
Les Sessions FEQ
In the foyer area of the Chateau Laurier, July 11 and 18, 17:30.
Doors open at 17:00. Limited number of places.
National Assembly Square
Access is free from 17:00. on weekdays.
Available from 10:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
Place d’Youville
The beer garden opens from 17:00.
