German Alexander Zverev’s girlfriend Sofia Thomalla is cheering for him at Wimbledon 2026.
Alexander “Sasha” Zverev finally won his first career Grand Slam title at the 2026 French Open. Now he hopes to add another trophy to his Wimbledon mantle.
After defeating Marcox Giron in straight sets, No. 2 seed Zverev will face No. 13 Jiri Lehecka in the round of 16 on July 6. The 29-year-old German star has never made it past the fourth round of Wimbledon.
“I’m playing much better than in previous years here at Wimbledon,” he told reporters. “Of course, winning the French Open helps with confidence. I think anyone would always sign up to come to Wimbledon as a French Open champion, wouldn’t they?
“For some reason it seems to me that this year the tournament is just beginning.”

“I have a very difficult task in the round of 16 against Jiri Legecky. He’s playing fantastic tennis so far and is a player who can shoot all over the court. He serves well and takes the ball early, so I know it will be a battle.”
At the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Zverev is supported by his long-time girlfriend Sofia Thomalla. Before heading to London, the German program Are You the One? The presenter shared exciting family news with the whole world.
