At the same time, the Guangxi Water Resources Department decided to upgrade the flood prevention emergency response level from level three to level two at 8:00 on the 6th and issued an orange flood warning. According to the current precipitation conditions and numerical precipitation forecast analysis, the water level of small and medium-sized rivers such as the Yujiang River and its tributaries such as the Qinglong River, Xitang River and Xinjiang River will continue to rise. The Nanning Hydrological Center station predicts that the urban section of the Yujiang River in Nanning will experience flooding of 1 to 2 meters in height in the next 1 to 2 days. The flood level will exceed the water level by 69.4 meters from 10:00 on the 6th.
In the next 6 to 20 hours, the section of the Xinjiang River in Xinjiang City, Yongning District will experience flooding, exceeding the warning water level by about 5.5 meters; a section of the Qinglong River in Changtang City, Qingxiu District will experience flooding that will exceed the emergency water level by approximately 3.9 meters; In the Lingli River section of Lingli Town, Qingxiu District, floods will exceed the warning water level by about 2.5 meters; Floods exceeding the warning water level will occur in the Phoenix Valley area of Santang City, Xinning District, Xitang River by approximately 1.3 meters; The Gaoling Village area of Jiangnan District of the Liangfeng River will experience flooding that will exceed the warning water level by about 0.5 meters.

According to the monitoring data of the hydrological department, from 8:00 on the 5th to 8:00 on the 6th, some areas of Nanning, Qinzhou, Guigang, Fangchengang, Beihai, Yulin, Laibin, Liuzhou and Guilin experienced heavy to heavy rainfall, and localized heavy rainfall. The maximum rainfall per day was 637.0 mm in Liuwei City, Binyang County, Nanning City. In Guangxi, 65 rivers were affected, including the Yujiang River, Fangcheng River, Pinglu Canal, Dafeng River and Mingjiang River, with 82 stations exceeding the warning level by 0.01 to 5.80 meters.
