The Detroit Tigers look to win the series against the Texas Rangers on Sunday.

The Detroit Tigers evened the weekend series against the Texas Rangers on Saturday afternoon with a 3-0 victory at Globe Life Field. Riley Greene provided fireworks with a two-run homer, while Jack Flaherty and the bullpen silenced opposing bats for a full nine innings.

On Sunday, right-hander Casey Mize will take the mound for the Olde English D in search of a second straight series win over the division’s top team. The 29-year-old pitched his best game of the season last time out against the New York Yankees, where he closed out seven frames with one hit, striking out 10 against zero walks, his third win of the 2026 campaign.

In the Rangers’ favor is fellow right-hander Kumar Rocker, who appears to be in his third year in the big leagues. The 26-year-old hurler had mixed results last month but finished it off with his fifth quality start of the season, throwing six shutout innings with four hits and a walk and striking out five on the road against the Toronto Blue Jays, taking a no-decision in the team’s 3-2 win.

Here’s a look at how these two will match up on paper during the morning matchup on Sunday afternoon. Please note that the game will be broadcast exclusively on Peacock/NBCSN Extra.
