Lucknow: Monsoon has arrived in the state. But now it has stopped. Because the Meteorological Department has said that the state has witnessed less monsoon in the last three days. However, areas adjoining Madhya Pradesh may experience rain. In other areas the movement of clouds will continue and there will also be light rain. According to the Zonal Meteorological Centre, the monsoon entered Uttar Pradesh on June 30. Thereafter, the monsoon began to intensify rapidly, resulting in heavy rainfall in most parts of the state on July 2. But due to the influence of a low pressure area formed in the northwestern Bay of Bengal near the north coast of Odisha, the weather has shifted south from its present position due to which there is no active weather system in the state.

Senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh said the state will experience less monsoon till Monday. However, the monsoon may strengthen again from Tuesday. He said that at present, apart from rainfall in the southern part of the state and adjoining areas, monsoon activity will be limited in other parts of the state as well.
