In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in Gujarat was 12.64 inches at Mangrol in Junagadh.

While 12.36 inches of rain was recorded at Sutrapada Gir Somnath and 10.94 inches at Keshod Junagadh.

Additionally, Patan Veraval in Gir Somnath received 10 inches, Malia Hatina in Junagadh received 9.13 inches and Manavdar received nine inches.

Meanwhile, the meteorological department is maintaining a red alert in some areas for the next three days. Heavy rain was recorded in Surat, Valsad and Daman and Gir Somnath and Junagadh in Saurashtra.

According to the meteorological department, Surat, Dang, Navsari, Valsad and Daman, Dadra and Nagarhaveli in South Gujarat and Bhavnagar in Saurashtra are on high alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall tomorrow, July 4th.

The remaining parts of Gujarat will also experience rainfall. Many systems were responsible for the lack of rain there.

Several reasons are currently responsible for the favorable rainfall conditions over the rest of Gujarat, including the activation of a seasonal trough starting from northwestern Rajasthan to the Bay of Bengal low pressure area, which was active over northern parts of Pakistan and Rajasthan so far due to which parts of north and central Gujarat recorded light rainfall, it is now lowering to increase the chances of rain in north Gujarat.
