Lottery players are competing for a £2 million jackpot in today’s new National Lottery draw.
A new change to the draws has just begun, with the National Lottery explaining: “The new Lotto is here and it’s doubly exciting. Each Wednesday and Saturday lottery draw will consist of two rounds.
“This means two chances to win a prize with each number line you play at the same price. And best of all, the number of millionaires is expected to more than double.”
Matching all six numbers in any round will result in winning the jackpot as before, but the jackpot will be split between both rounds. This potentially means that while there is a greater chance of winning, there is also a greater chance of sharing.
The National Lottery says the change will “lead to more winners and millionaires than before”.
Below we present you with the important lottery winning numbers as they are drawn, as well as the Thunderball results.

You can buy a ticket throughout the week, and on drawing days – Saturday and Wednesday – until 19.30.
And if you want to play more games, there’s also EuroMillions every Tuesday and Friday, as well as a Set for Life game on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Thunderball draw takes place every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a top prize of £500,000.
Playing the lottery also raises millions of pounds for good causes.
