This is one of the most sensitive issues in the war that the authorities intend to wage against the drug gangster. Eight months after the murder of Mehdi Kessachi, the brother of Marseille anti-drug activist Amine Kessachi, investigators from Marseille’s judicial police and the Central Office for Combating Organized Crime arrested four people on Tuesday, we understand. The information was confirmed by the National Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime. According to confirming sources, three of those arrested were already in custody on suspicion of involvement in other cases related to the Marseille crimes.
The three suspects arrested Tuesday are believed to be “logistics experts” who were involved in the organization or post-crime activities, again according to the same sources. Even more interesting: According to at least one statement collected by investigators, a fourth suspect is believed to have been hired to kill Mehdi Kessachi. Introduced as a DZ mafia enforcer, he was supposed to be present in front of Kessachi’s house with the intent to commit murder on November 12, 2025. This will ultimately happen the next day, without this young man present at the crime scene.
