The Taliban government in Afghanistan said it attacked targets along the border with Pakistan.

The Taliban regime said the attacks left many people injured in Pakistan’s southwestern Balochistan province.

Pakistan’s army said it had shot down four civilian drones and warned that any further provocative actions would be met with an “appropriate response.” However, the BBC was unable to independently confirm these attacks.

The attacks come as Pakistan launched air strikes in Afghanistan on Sunday. The attacks killed 28 civilians, according to the UN.

After several months of relative peace, tensions between the two countries have risen again. Both countries agreed to a ceasefire after weeks of bloody clashes in October.

Pakistan has long accused Afghanistan of providing safe haven to terrorists who carry out attacks in Pakistan. However, the Taliban government denies these accusations.

The Taliban regime claims that Pakistan carries out such attacks without any provocation, resulting in civilian deaths. While Pakistan claims that it only targets terrorists.

Afghanistan says residential buildings were the target of Pakistani attacks on Sunday. The attacks killed 36 civilians and injured more than 160 others, he said.

The Taliban called Pakistan’s action a “cowardly act” and a “heinous atrocity.”
