World's largest long drive event wraps up for another year

The Endless Summer Golf Long Drive Championship has once again concluded with what organizer Jodie Jenkins says is its biggest and most successful event to date.

Participants from around the world took part at Trillium Wood Golf Club on Thursday and Friday, with a portion of the proceeds going to support the Gleaners Food Bank and the Trenton Military Family Resource Center.

“This year has exceeded all our expectations” said Jody Jenkins, tournament director. “From welcoming our largest ever turnout to meeting over 700 people surrounding the starting grid on Friday night, the energy and excitement was incredible to see. Five years ago it was just an idea. Today, we welcome the world’s best athletes, thousands of spectators and create an event that our community can be truly proud of. None of this would be possible without our incredible volunteers, sponsors, partners and fans who continue to believe in what we are building.”

“Each year, Endless Summer continues to raise the bar” said Steve McCurdy, owner of Trillium Wood Golf Club. “The atmosphere all week was incredible and the finale on Friday night was unlike anything we have ever seen on a golf course. It’s exciting to watch this event continue to grow, showcasing our base, our community and some of the best long-distance athletes in the world.”
