DULUTH, Minn. (KQDS-TV) – Potholes remain a common problem in the Twin Ports.

Residents could face repair bills exceeding $1,500 after hitting a pothole.

“Someone hit a big pothole and now they’re saying, ‘My steering wheel is crooked, my car is pulling to the left,’ and they broke some panels on the underbody of the car,” said Mike Archer, owner and mechanic at Automedics.

Mechanics said they often get calls about damage to potholes in the spring and summer.

Residents of Duluth and Superior can report potholes through their cities’ mobile apps.

“Tell us where he is, take a photo of him, and he’ll go straight to the team.” said Roger Reinert, mayor of Duluth.

Potholes on state highways can be reported through the Minnesota Department of Transportation website.
