Record night heat in Vogelsberg and Frankfurt
The term “record” actually has a positive connotation, from the positive it can in the context of heat waves and climate change but in reality there are no more conversations. Last night values were achieved that had never been seen before in Hesse.
Here we need to correct what we wrote earlier: The highest “low” night temperature ever measured in Hesse was 26.6 degrees at Hocherodskopf in Vogelsberg. The temperature in Westend was 25 degrees, the highest overnight low ever recorded in Frankfurt. In Michelstadt im Odenwald it was 24.8 degrees, and in Oberzent-Berfelden it was 24.6 degrees.
The coolest values were recorded in Hilserberg-Moescheide (Schwalm-Eder) with 17.3 degrees, Fulda-Horace with 17.6 degrees and Sontra (Werra-Meissner) with 18.4 degrees.
