An important ally of Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham has made a U-turn of sorts after causing fury with his startling revelations.
When 27-year-old Brooklyn Beckham posted his explosive statement on his Instagram in January, he finally confirmed rumors that had been circulating for months: all was not well in the Beckham camp.
He accused his parents of caring more about their social brand than their children, claimed mum Victoria Beckham danced “inappropriately” on him at his wedding to Nicola Peltz, 31, and said he had no desire to heal the family rift. Victoria, 52, is said to have been left devastated by his claims.
Shortly after Brooklyn’s announcement, the internet erupted in a flurry of memes posted about his mother. But he found himself with a seemingly unexpected ally, DJ Fat Tony.
The Beckhams, long-standing members of his parents’ inner circle, were shocked when Tony appeared on This Morning and revealed what “really” happened during the wedding dance. According to him, it was singer Marc Anthony who acted as an agent of chaos in that tense moment.

Tony claimed that Mark instructed “the most beautiful woman in the room” to come to the dance floor and then the former Spice Girl’s name was left out, causing major upset for the bride.
According to the DJ, the singer didnโt stop there: Mark allegedly shouted for Brooklyn to grab his momโs hips. “It was a Latin thing,” Tony explained, claiming that it was the “timing” of the dance that was “wrong” and caused Nicola to flee the wedding reception in a flood of tears.
But now Tony seems to have made a U-turn. Speaking in a recent interview, he blamed the fiasco on the ITV show, which is said to have left Victoria and David angry at their old friend.
โItโs always sad when there is a split in a family. It just so happened that I was drawn into one of them. I continued (this morning) to change the narrative about the word “inappropriate” and where it leads for Victoria to where it leads for Brooklyn. It was an unpleasant situation,โ he said.

He added that the family is “incredible and David and Victoria have raised these children impeccably.” A source who spoke to the Mail said the Beckhams are not too impressed by the change, even if the DJ now speaks flatteringly of them.
โFat Tony was considered one of the main witnesses against Victoria at the wedding and was very supportive of Brooklyn and Nicola. Now look how he changed his tune. The Beckhams are furious about it all.
โThere is so much pain and sadness associated with the aftermath with Brooklyn. For someone to stir it up the way (Tony) did, it was terrible. And now he came out and praised them profusely. It’s confusing.”
Maya Riaz, PR specialist for the stars, told Mirror that these new comments from the DJ are likely to make the public “re-evaluate the whole story.” โFrom a crisis communications perspective, I would say this is probably a bigger win for David and Victoria than it is for Brooklyn and Nicola,โ the communications guru explains.

I always tell my clients that from a PR perspective, silence can be more powerful than denial.
โWhile Brooklyn and Nicola continued to air their grievances publicly, David and Victoria demonstrated restraint and family devotion. Fair or not, it is often this image that resonates most strongly with the public.
โI think there is also an issue of credibility. Every time a family dispute gets a new chapter, there is a risk that the audience will become tired of it. Yes, it was really sympathetic at first, but over time it can start to feel repetitive.

When it comes to Fat Tony speaking out again, Maya believes he has actually given the couple a major gift in the drama surrounding the estrangement. โWhat’s particularly interesting to me is that Fat Tony’s latest comments may be giving David and Victoria something they haven’t had for months, and that’s a narrative reset. Now the conversation will not only be about what happened at the wedding many years ago. The question now is whether the story has expanded beyond its original meaning.โ
She also claims that when it comes to the PR game, Brooklyn’s outspokenness and inexperience start to show and may not get him the results he wants. โBrooklyn does not appear to be relying on the professional support of a publicist or crisis management specialists, as we see that he speaks from the heart. Whereas David and Victoria have years of experience in this and also rely on this support.
โSo Brooklyn should remember that its biggest PR lesson is that public feuds are rarely won by the loudest voice. They are usually won by the side that appears to be the most balanced. Tensions flared again recently when David Beckham paid tribute to all four of his children on Instagram to mark Father’s Day. Brooklyn was the center of attention in the photos he posted despite the ongoing rift.
A source close to Brooklyn said his parents’ decision to continue posting about him online despite allegedly being told to stop amounted to “trolling,” a claim a Beckham pal called “ridiculous.” Brooklyn then reignited the fire by seemingly targeting his parents in a new DoorDash ad, leaving them reportedly “devastated.”
Meanwhile, Harper Beckham showed up unannounced at the home of brother Brooklyn and his wife Nicola earlier this month. A 14-year-old teenager arrived at the house alone, accompanied by a driver, and found that no one was home. They say she left a handwritten note.
If Beckham-Peltz had visited their ยฃ14million Beverly Hills mansion, Harper would have seen her older sibling face to face for the first time in 18 months. And her dejected expression as she walked back to the car indicated the toll the rift was taking between Brooklyn and his family.
Notably, Harper made the impromptu visit on her own, just after watching her father David receive the honor of a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday. Her parents and two other brothers, Romeo and Cruz, attended the ceremony, but Harper made the five-mile trip alone.
Shortly after Harper was spotted at the mansion, a rep for Brooklyn and Nicola issued a brutal statement, saying: “The fact that photographers were on site when the letter was hand-delivered speaks for itself – it was staged for the cameras.”
