District Judge-III and Additional Sessions Judge Avadhesh Kumar will now be the special judge of NDPS Act Court No. 1. Meanwhile, District and Additional Sessions Judge No. 14 Ashutosh Kumar Singh will now be the special judge of NDPS Act Court No. 2.

The changes also affected the determination of the seniority of judges. As per the previous instructions of the High Court, three senior judges of the District and Additional Sessions Judges are to be appointed as the first, second and third judges respectively. Currently, senior Raja Ram Santosh Kumar is serving as District and Session Judge I. After him, Dhirendra Mishra and Ramji Singh Yadav have already been appointed to Special Courts-1 and 2 of the POCSO Act respectively. With Awadhesh Kumar posted to NDPS Special Court No. 1, now District and Sessions Judge-5 Suman Kumar Diwakar will become the third most senior judge. He has also been appointed as a special sessions court judge in a criminal case related to MP-MLA.
