'Suhagrat Express' went viral after the compartment of the first AC train was turned into a wedding suite; The Internet asks: “Who allowed this?” A video showing a 1st AC railway compartment converted into what looks like a wedding suite has gone viral on social media. Decorated with flowers, balloons, rose petals and garlands, the coupe was nicknamed the “Suhagrat Express” and the unusual setup prompted both praise and questions over whether it had official permission.

Video provided by the event decorator

According to media reports, the viral clip was originally posted on Instagram by Jalna-based event decoration service provider Rahat Room Decoration. Although the original post is no longer available, the video was widely shared on social media. The video starts from the platform and then moves into the carriage. He then walks down a normal corridor and reaches a compartment decorated differently from the others. While some appreciated the concept, others focused on whether the decoration received the necessary approval. One person wrote: “I don’t know if this is legal but it’s a good idea to attract couples and make some money by selling these buses/coupes at a good price to help the railways make a profit. Also I hope privacy is taken care of. We don’t want bullshit going on like a lot of hotels do.”Another wrote: “Do they have permission?”A third said: “Money is everything.”Disclaimer: This article is based on a social media post.
