Trump warns Russia and China against selling arms to Iran
Donald Trump on Friday warned Russia and China against selling arms to Iran, but added that he believed Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin when they said they were not involved in such deals.
“So the two big countries that are often mentioned when talking about Iran are not participating in my opinion. If they did, it would be very bad for them – certainly not in their interests,” he wrote on his Truth Social platform.
The Russian military claims it struck a “drone demonstration” near Kiev
The Russian army says it is targeting a “drone demonstration” involving defense officials on Friday near Kiev. The explosion killed at least ten people and once again raised questions about the safety of such events in Ukraine.

Romania shoots down a drone on its territory for the first time

Zelensky said the night strikes were aimed at Russian army supply depots
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Friday welcomed the strikes on Russian e-commerce giant Wildberry’s warehouses in Russia overnight, saying they were supplying the Russian army in its war in Ukraine.

“I am grateful to the president for all the options that were offered to me (…) I will not accept any position other than the position of minister of defense,” he said in a statement after a conversation with the Ukrainian president. According to him, “no other role provides the effective powers necessary to combat corruption in public procurement, transform the army, plan and conduct asymmetric operations against the enemy, and eradicate the culture of lies and irresponsibility within the system.”
