Patrick Dangerfield will hit the road again in 2027 after signing a one-year contract.

Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield will play next year, extending his successful career into his 20th season in the AFL.
Dangerfield signed a one-year contract extension that will take him to the 400-game mark.
Dangerfield, a veteran of 374 AFL games, will turn 37 next April.
“We are all delighted that Pat will be playing for the Cats in 2027,” Geelong football boss Andrew Mackie said on Friday.
“He continues to lead and remains an important player and person in our football program.
“Pat has high standards, cares deeply about the club and is a positive influence on everyone around him, so we are delighted to see him continue.”
Dangerfield began his career with Adelaide, where he played 154 games between 2008 and 2015.
The brilliant midfielder moved to Geelong for the 2016 season, winning the Brownlow Medal in his first year with the Cats.
Dangerfield, an eight-time Australian international, played in the Geelong premiership in 2022 and is a four-time club champion – once with Adelaide and three times with the Cats.
