After the Chalo Sansad march on July 20, Tharakan Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke apologized to his supporters. He specifically mentioned the girls who were allegedly beaten by the police.

Deepke alleged that the Modi government at the Center prioritized protecting the minister over responding to the deaths of students.
He wrote, “To save Dharmendra Pradhan (who is responsible for the death of more than 20 students), the government was ready to shed the blood of many more young students. If you’re injured and watching this, DM me. I want to talk to you personally and apologize.”
Senior journalist Abhisar Sharma wrote on X: “This apology from Abhijeet was necessary. There was definitely some chaos during the drive. But this should not distract attention from the important issues raised by the CJP. The harsh action of the Delhi Police against the protesters and the disgraceful role of the media in protecting the most incompetent Education Minister of independent India should also not be ignored.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said that the youth of the country should not be treated in this way.
Speaking to the media, Rahul said, “The youth of the country have no opportunities, almost all avenues are closed for them. There is only one path left for competitive exams, which is also destroyed. The students present here are not just complaining about the education system, but also raising their voices about their future. They claim that Ambani, Adani and RSS have completely taken over the education system.”
When asked if the Congress would be adamant about Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, Rahul said, “Of course, Dharmendra Pradhan should resign. But the protesting youth should not be beaten, but this happened on the instructions of the Home Minister, he should also resign like the Prime Minister.”

Actor Ranvir Shorey wrote on X: “The Education Minister should have resigned a long time ago.” If this were to happen, the government could maintain its authority and perhaps also be able to send a message that it must not only be responsible, but also be accountable. But now I don’t think that the government can easily get out of this contradiction without giving political advantage to the opposition and without complicating its own situation.
Popular writer Chetan Bhagat wrote on X: “Sad to see pictures of brutal attacks on peacefully protesting youth. Their concerns are real and legitimate. The education system, especially the examination system, is seriously flawed. The severity should not be aimed at protesters, but at improving this system. Please find a better solution to this problem.
Questions were raised about Deepka too.
Some users also raised questions about DeepK’s role in the movement and CJP’s attitude.

Another comment said: “You should apologize. Students were beaten because of you. You and your colleagues already knew that this could happen because the Delhi Police had already issued an alert in this regard.”
One user wrote: “Shut up! You brought the children forward, they beat you, and you retreated. Aren’t you ashamed of this? Why have none of your colleagues or political leaders you speak of come forward? Little girls continued to be beaten, but not one of your colleagues was hit with a single stick.”

CJP’s serious allegations against the police
The CJP accused police of using excessive force during the march to parliament on Monday. The party claims that actors Prakash Raj and Shabana Azmi were also abused. At the same time, Sonam Wangchuk’s wife Gitanjali became a victim.
According to the CJP, police took action against a truck carrying people and a protester was dragged and run over.
Party spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka said Geetanjali was being dragged by her hair. He claimed that many of the youths had suffered head injuries and broken ribs. Terming the police action as unprecedented, Ranka said the police have been given clear instructions to be strict.
He said that after this action the movement will become bigger and the protest will continue until the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan.
Ranca also criticized Monday’s meeting with the government, saying that despite negotiations, no concrete result had been achieved. He said that further negotiations should take place at the protest site itself.

Delhi Police has denied the allegations.
However, Delhi Police has termed all these allegations as false and misleading. Police have strongly denied claims by the 12-year-old girl and Geetanjali that they were attacked, had their hair pulled or suffered head injuries. The police also said that reports of 40-50 people being injured were also untrue.
Despite the tension, CJP officials met Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda. This was his first official conversation with the central government.
According to Ashutosh Ranka, Nadda has asked for some more time to discuss with the BJP leadership. At present, the government has not given an official response to CJP’s demands.
