Temperatures are expected to rise to 35 degrees again this weekend. The only question is: how long does the heat last?
At the end of July, weather forecasts in Germany suddenly became relatively cool. Maximum values sometimes do not even reach 20 degrees. At night the temperature can drop to 6 degrees. This doesn’t sound particularly summery.
Was it the summer of 2026?
No, of course, summer is not over yet. Because from Thursday it will be dog days in Germany, and on Friday we expect 30 degrees again. In the southwest it will even reach 35 degrees on Saturday. But is this really the next heat wave?
No, that’s not true. Because from Sunday another deterioration in the weather will follow and the heat will subside again. After that it will be significantly cooler again, at least according to current forecasts. The weekly forecast also shows relatively cool temperatures in the north and east next week. However, the west and south remain warm in summer.
Worsening weather at the beginning of the week
It will be relatively cool again from Sunday. But it feels warmer in the sun because it’s still July. But in the evenings and at night it quickly becomes cooler – no tropical nights with warm summer air. Only towards the end of July does the heat increase again over Spain and France, which may come to us later.
What will the weather be like after this?
As long as the heat wave doesn’t set in over the weekend, the weather is forecast to be good this week. Everything also points to a colder weather after Sunday. After this, however, forecasts become uncertain, with weather patterns subject to change throughout the week. It is also possible that a hot weekend could develop into abnormal heat.
